It’s our pleasure to disclose that MyRVmail has sponsored this post. We’re also quite happy to disclose that we’ve been using MyRVmail’s services for two years and absolutely love this company and the people behind it! In fact, we probably would have written this post for free, but we’d appreciate it if you kept that between us!

Who Needs a Mail Forwarding Service?

There are countless reasons people either use or need a mail forwarding service, and no one knows this better than full-time RVers. Whether you’ve sold your stick-n-bricks or decided to hang on to it, being able to view and receive your mail while on the road is necessary. And while a reliable mail forwarding service is key for most RVers, people from all walks of life depend on these same services every day. Part time and leisure travelers, active and retired military personnel, college students, traveling nurses, expats, and business owners and travelers, just to name a few, all need and use mail forwarding services. It’s for anyone on the go!

Why We Use MyRVmail

Truck pulling an Airstream travel trailer

Three years ago, we sold our home, bought an Airstream and set out to travel the United States. It was the first time in our lives we didn’t have a physical address, so we had to figure out what to do with our mail. Like many, we thought forwarding our mail to a relative’s address was the simplest way to solve this new problem. And like many discover, we were wrong. While our newly appointed mail-clerk mom opened, read, held and shipped our mail to our ever-changing location, it was both time consuming and costly for her to do so. It was also inconvenient for us due to a lack of timely delivery. So, after a frustrating year (for all of us), we started looking into mail forwarding services. And after extensive research, we chose MyRVmail  .

Company History

Kirk Simmons the owner of MyRVmail(MyRVmail owner, Kirk Simmons)

MyRVmail is a high-quality mail forwarding service that has been in business since 2003. It began as a mail service offered only to members of Passport America. But with a rise in demand, Kirk Simmons turned this singular idea into the highly efficient and technologically advanced company it is today, with customer satisfaction at the forefront of his mission.

MyRVmail currently has over 8,500 customers and is constantly growing. It is still partnered with and providing discounts to Passport America customers, but it is now partnered with Good Sam as well.

Transparent and Affordable Pricing

One of the several reasons we chose MyRVmail is because of their tiered pricing without many add-on fees. They don’t charge extra for shredding junk/unwanted mail or for annual memberships. Customers can place their MyRVmail services on hold, and then restart them, at no extra cost as well. Additionally, there are no size or time limits, or charges, for held mail.

What does all this mean? It means MyRVmail doesn’t nickel-and-dime you to death! And as an added convenience, MyRVmail’s website makes it simple to navigate and sign up for services. Everything is easy, transparent, and affordable.

Your Privacy

MyRVmail protects their customers’ digital privacy by storing electronic information on GOOGLE’s secure cloud platform. MyRVmail customers’ physical privacy is ensured by using the company Shred-it to destroy all junk/unwanted mail. And if you prefer to pick up your mail in person, ID is required to do so.

Domicile

Another great service offered by MyRVmail is a change of domicile for its customers if needed. Like us! By providing the customer a physical address, they can obtain a Florida driver’s license, register a vehicle and/or register to vote. This additional benefit separates MyRVmail from the other services that only provide customers with post office boxes and NOT a physical address.

Technically, the mailbox pictured above is our home. That box has its own Florida address and is what makes it possible for us to be residents of the state. As a result, we have Florida drivers licenses and are registered to vote. We’re officially Floridians! Also, Florida is one of the few states in which you can escape state income and personal property taxes. This means we’re saving, quite literally, thousands of dollars each year on both! As full-time RVers without a conventional home, it made all the sense in the world for us to become Florida residents. And MyRVmail made it possible!

Exceptional Customer Service

MyRVmail’s commitment to exceptional customer service is real. Kirk Simmons, the owner, made it clear that the customer is his top priority. We experienced this first-hand when our package, shipped by MyRVmail via FedEX, was lost. We reached out to FedEX several times trying to get information about our missing package, but only got the run-around and promised returned calls we never received. In desperation, we called MyRVmail and spoke to Connie, the Customer Service Supervisor. Not only was Connie attentive, polite and professional, but she looked into the matter and contacted us that same day with an update.

Connie initiated a claim with FedEX on our behalf, and not only was our package found, rerouted and delivered,  but we also received a check from FedEX. The mishap with our package was completely FedEX’s fault, but it was Connie at MyRVmail that fixed it! This is the kind of stuff customer-oriented businesses are made of!

It’s not just when there’s a problem that MyRVmail comes through for their customers, however. Their dedication to customer service is evident in the day-to-day operations and with every customer encounter. For instance, all calls received during business hours are answered by a human, not a machine. If you’re in the neighborhood, you can stop by and pick up your mail. And every customer that walks through the door is greeted by a friendly face eager to assist. It’s the little things, too, that make customers feel appreciated. But if everything you’ve read so far isn’t enough to convince you that MyRVmail is where you should take your business, check out this next part…

New & Free Services

MyRVmail recently broke ground on a five-site RV overnight parking area in the rear of their facility. All sites will be pull-through and provide 30 and 50amp electrical service and potable water. There will also be a dump station on the premises. The sites will have a two-night maximum stay. The first night is completely FREE for MyRVmail customers, and the second night is $40. MyRVmail customers will also receive reservation priority. Non-MyRVmail customers are also welcome at $45 per night. The same two-night maximum applies. The completion date for the sites is late 2021.

Why You Should Choose MyRVmail

While MyRVmail exceeds their customers’ expectations in efficiency, technology and a state-of-the-art facility, they also outshine their competitors in the one area often lost with a company’s growth; good old-fashioned customer service. Keeping the customers and their needs at the forefront of their operations is what has propelled the business to where it is today, and Kirk Simmons has never forgotten that!
